Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged >= 18 years; 2. Mild crowding in lower arch; 3. Spee curve within 2 mm; 4. 2 pre-molars extraction for orthodontic treatment; 5. Thin gingival biotype; 6. Volunteer to participate in the study and sign the informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of orthodontic treatment previously; 2. Miller III or IV gingival recession in lower anterior teeth; 3. Width of attached gingiva less than 2 mm; 4. History of periodontal surgery in lower anterior teeth; 5. Taking drugs known to affect gingival condition (e.g. hyperplasia) or periodontal tissue; 6. Pregnant or nursing women, or women have pregnancy plan during the observation and follow-up period; 7. Systemic diseases that may affect the outcome of treatment, such as hyperthyroidism, diabetes, primary and secondary immunodeficiency diseases, serious infectious diseases, etc., or long-term medication history; 8. Smoking history.
