Interventions

Lidocaine and Dexamethasone group:Injection of lidocaine 1.5mg/kg and dexamethasone 8mg (2ml)
Dexamethasone group:Injection of 0.9%NaCl (equal to lidocaine 1.5mg/kg) and dexamethasone 8mg (2ml)
Lidocaine group:Injection of lidocaine 1.5mg/kg and 0.9%NaCl (2ml)
Sodium chloride group:Injection of 0.9%NaCl (equal to lidocaine 1.5mg/kg) and 0.9%NaCl (2ml)

Female

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Female patients underwent elective unilateral total mastectomy under general anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of local anaesthetic or glucocorticoid allergy; 2. Simultaneous bilateral surgery, breast-conserving surgery, daily/current use of glucocorticoids or immunosuppressant drugs; 3. Cardiac insufficiency; 4. Severe arrhythmia; 5. Insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus; 6. Severe liver and kidney dysfunction; 7. History of chronic pain.
