Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged >= 18 years; 2. Adult patients with sepsis who developed acute kidney injury within 24 hours of admission to the ICU.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The kidney ultrasound image is not clear; 2. Anuria; 3. Severe chronic kidney disease (CKD) (defined as glomerular filtration rate <30ml/min/1.73m2); 4. Obstructive AKI; 5. Pregnancy; 6. Cardiac circulatory arrest; 7. Expected life < 24h; 8. Child grade C liver cirrhosis; 9. Had AKI and kidney transplantation during the current hospitalization.
