Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Intubation group under general anesthesia: (1) From January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2020, the children received inguinal hernia repair in the Second People's Hospital of Yibin; (2) The operative age was 6 months to 3 years old; (3) The anesthesia general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation; 2. Sacral canal anesthesia group: (1) From January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2020, the children received inguinal hernia repair in the Second People's Hospital of Yibin; (2) The operative age was 6 months to 3 years old; (3) The method of anesthesia was sacral anesthesia combined with superficial sedation with sevoflurane, preserving spontaneous respiration; 3. Control group: (1) From August 1, 2021 to November 1, 2021, the patient was prepared to receive inguinal hernia repair in the Second People's Hospital of Yibin; (2) The operative age is 6 months to 3 years old; (3) No previous exposure to anesthetic.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Gestational age less than 28 weeks, gestational history of anesthesia exposure, refractory infants, history of asphyxia at birth, low birth weight, close relatives of parents, one of the parents suffering from mental diseases, pregnant women drink alcohol; 2. Chronic and severe malnutrition; 3. Has or has had other conditions that may affect cognitive function, such as congenital deafness, amblyopia, meningitis, immune diseases, chromosomal abnormalities; 4. Patients in the control group had other anesthesia exposure history.
