the FICB group:fascia iliaca compartment block

Control group:Basic analgesic regimen

60 Years to 94 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. X-ray diagnosis of a unilateral hip fracture (intertrochanteric or femoral neck fractures); 2. aged >=60 years; 3. receiving surgery in our hospital including hemiarthroplasty or total hip arthroplasty for femoral neck fracture, and proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) for intertrochanteric fracture.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. contraindications for spinal anesthesia and regional blocks; 2. previously diagnosed with chronic pain; 3. previous history of hip or femur fracture; 4. chronic use of opioids; 5. allergy to drugs used in the study; 6. mental state preventing to complete the scoring.
