Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) according to the WHO classification standard of glucose metabolism (1999), it has been diagnosed as prediabetes; (2) take metformin (trade name: Gehuazhi, Sino-American Shanghai valuable Pharmaceutical, 0.5g); (3) Aged 30 to 70 years old; (4) male or female who is not pregnant or lactating and has no birth plan in the next 3 years; (5) body mass index (BMI) 24 to 32 kg/m2; (6) volunteered to participate in this researcher after recruitment, and signed written consent form before the start of the trial-related activities; (7) conscious and mentally normal; have normal communication and reading and writing skills, and be able to cooperate with the research.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) taking drugs that affect glucose metabolism for the treatment of pre-existing diseases. (2) taking slimming drugs within 6 months and during the intervention period. (3) currently taking more than two kinds of antihypertensive drugs or antidepressants. (4) people who are allergic to metformin or any of its excipients. (5) patients with impaired liver function have obvious clinical signs or symptoms of liver disease; patients with renal insufficiency. (6) screening patients with cardiovascular diseases within 3 months before the visit.
