Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients aged 18 to 80 years old, American Society of Anesthesiologists class I or II; (2) Patients who were scheduled for non-emergent lobectomy under video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Conversion to thoracotomy; (2) Second thoracic surgery; (3) Severe renal or hepatic dysfunction; (4) Participation in other clinical trials; (5) History of psychiatric disorder; (6) Obesity with body mass index >35 kg/m2; (7) History of chronic pain or daily use of analgesics; (8) Inability to understand the consent form or how to use a visual analog scale (VAS) for pain measurement; (9) Allergy to any required drug; (10) Local infection at the injection site.
