Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The nuclear grade of the cataract was less than grade III (the degree of lens opacity was evaluated by the Lens Opacity Classification System III [LOCS III]); 2. all patients had received anti-VEGF treatments and were currently in the inactive stage[5]; 3. Among the 26 CNV eyes, 2 eyes failed to complete 3 + PRN(Pro re nata) treatment [6, 7] for severe cataracts and underwent cataract surgery in advance; 4. The remaining 24 eyes completed 3 + PRN anti VEGF treatments, including 5 eyes that underwent cataract surgery within six months after treatment and 19 eyes that underwent cataract surgery after six months of anti-VEGF treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Had a history of eye surgery, ocular trauma, lens dislocation, corneal lesions, pterygium, any intraoperative or postoperative complications and other macular lesions such as macular epiretinal membrane and macular hole.
