Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who were hospitalized in the general ward of the Department of Internal Medicine, West China Hospital, Sichuan University from January 1, 2010 to October 31, 2022; 2. The first diagnosis at discharge is AECOPD (ICD code J44.0 or J44.1); 3. Hospitalization for at least 5 days; 4. Aged 18 to 80 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Combined with other lung diseases, such as tuberculosis, lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary edema, pneumothorax, etc.; 2. Combined with heart, liver, kidney and other organ failure; 3. Complications that affect the level of eosinophils in peripheral blood, such as asthma, leukemia, parasitic infections, allergic diseases, eczema, eosinophilic pneumonia, solid tumors, severe immunodeficiency diseases, autoimmune diseases, etc.; 4. Insufficient clinical data, such as the inability to obtain the level of eosinophils in peripheral blood on admission (without any treatment).
