Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Comply with the standard of depression in the Western medicine diagnostic standard ''Chinese Classification and Diagnostic Criteria for Mental Disorders, Third Edition (CCMD-3)'', and the standard of depression in the TCM diagnostic standard ''Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis and Efficacy Criteria for Diseases and Syndrome''; 2. Aged 18-70 years; 3. Patients with mild to moderate depression with total score of Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) > 20 and < 35; 4. Those who have been approved by the ethics committee of the hospital and agreed to sign the informed consent form for the experiment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with secondary depression caused by other organic diseases; 2. Those with severe heart, liver, lung, kidney dysfunction or serious diseases and infectious diseases; 3. Pregnant or lactating patients; 4. Taking antibiotics, steroids, immunosuppressants and other drugs 2 weeks before the assessment; 5. Those with severe suicidal tendencies.
