Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for the control group: 1. Age 40-80 years old; 2. Stable place of residence, living in Sichuan Province for more than 3 years, and living time > 10 months/year; 3. No special dietary habits; 4. Body Mass Index (BMI) is 17.5-30; 5. There is no recent history of cross-border travel; 6. No history of use of probiotics, prebiotics and antibiotics within 1 month; 7. The patient or the authorized principal signs the informed consent. Inclusion criteria for the stroke group: 1. On the basis of the inclusion criteria for healthy adults, add: (1) Meet the clinical diagnostic criteria for stroke and be confirmed by brain CT or MRI; (2) Willingness and cooperation to receive conventional rehabilitation therapy (including drugs, acupuncture, exercise therapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for the control group: 1. Those with previous stroke, traumatic brain injury or other intracranial diseases; 2. Past history of metabolic syndrome, digestive system diseases and surgery; 3. Suffering from acute or chronic infectious diseases, malignant tumors, severe autoimmune diseases, and immunodeficiency syndromes; 4. Suffering from serious life-threatening diseases (such as heart failure, respiratory failure, etc.). Exclusion criteria for the stroke group: the exclusion criteria for the healthy control group were added with conditions that had an impact on assessment or treatment.
