Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All infants born before 32 weeks of gestation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) presence of congenital anomalies with open lesions (e.g. gastroschisis and meningomyelocele) and babies whose deliveries were not attended by the neonatal team; (2) infants with life-threatening congenital anomalies identified antenatally or at birth.
