Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Residents aged 65 and over in Northeast China; 2.Less than 3 hours of physical activity per week; 3.Patients diagnosed as weak or pre-weak according to weak index (FI) (see Appendix 2); 4.No medical contraindications for strength training; 5.Being able to walk (without a walker); 6.Chronic diseases which are stable for more than 6 months after reasonable treatment; 7.Sign informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Auditory/visual impairment affecting daily activities; 2.Patients with malignant tumors who are currently undergoing or plan to undergo chemotherapy or radiotherapy; 3.Medication history: patients who took calcium or vitamin D supplements and sedative, antidepressant and anxiolytic drugs; 4.Respiratory failure, heart failure, severe liver and kidney dysfunction; 5.Patients with acute phase of the disease (infection, fever, etc.); 6.Diagnosis of malnutrition; 7.Life expectancy for any reason is less than 12 months; 8.Persons with physical and mental disabilities.
