Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Compliance with the diagnostic criteria of ARDS; 2. mechanical ventilation time (>=48 h) and the occurrence of VAP; 3. complete clinical data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Expected survival time less than 3 months; 2. combination with other respiratory diseases; 3. cognitive impairment such as mental disorders; 4. acute hemorrhage and intracranial hypertension.
