Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients met the 1999 WHO diagnostic criteria for diabetes mellitus: diabetic symptoms (polyuria, polydipsia, polyphagia and unexplained weight loss due to hyperglycemia) or random blood glucose >=11.1 mmol/L or fasting blood glucose >=7 mmol/L or 2-hour postprandial blood glucose >=11.1 mmol/L on the 75 g glucose tolerance test. Diagnosis of patients with diabetic albuminuria: meeting the diagnostic criteria in the Chinese Clinical Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Kidney Disease (2019 edition) when the mean of two urinary albumin/creatinine >=30 mg/g and excluding elevated urinary albumin due to other diseases.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclude other specific types of diabetes, acute complications of diabetes, renal disease caused by primary or secondary nephritis, urinary tract infections, acute and chronic renal failure, severe hepatic and cardiac dysfunction, acute infections, immunodeficiency, tumors, use of lipid-modifying drugs and/or angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI)/angiotensin receptor antagonists (ARBs) in the last 3 months.
