Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who were stable on HD at least for 3 months, being adequately dialyzed, with a weekly URR >=65%, Kt/V >=1.2, having a stable dry weight for the previous month (less than 2 kg change); 2. Those who were willing to stop other drugs for muscle cramps; 3. All participants who were able to answer a scale regarding the severity (recorded in the scale on a numbered scale of 0 to 10, 0 = no pain, 10 = intolerable pain) and duration (in minutes)of each attack of muscle cramps during HD when it occurs; 4. Those signing a written consent to participate in the trial of vitamin K2 intervention and follow-up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with attacks induced by definite cause, such as hypotension, hypocalcemia, excessive ultrafiltration or fast ultrafiltration (UFR of >13 mL/hr/kg).
