18 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Definite diagnosis of the achalasia; 2. Signing of informed consent for the POEM operation; 3. Agreement for preoperative esophageal manometry, electronic gastroscopy (with full endoscopic picture), evaluation of Eckardt grade, and recording of other relevant information; 4. Stopping anticoagulants and antiplatelet agents for 5-7 days; 5. Fasting for 48 hours, and water restriction for 6 hours; 6. Aged 18 to 90 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe systemic diseases, such as coagulopathy, severe heart and lung dysfunction; 2. Anesthesia contraindication; 3. Endoscopy contraindicatiom; 4. Huge ulcers on the mucosal surface of the esophagus or other conditions which can seriously affect results of the evaluation; 5. Pregnant or lactating women.
