Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Newborns with confirmed sepsis admitted to our NICU from January 2015 to December 2020 were selected and a retrospective cohort study was conducted (the age of admission was less than 28 days); 2. Newborns with sepsis and children with positive double blood culture.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Newborns suspected of sample contamination and missing data; 2. Newborns that were positive for both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria were excluded; 3. Children with severe congenital malformation, genetic metabolic diseases, primary immune deficiency, alloimmune thrombocytopenia, blood system diseases and suspected blood culture contamination.
