Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged from 19 to 75 years; 2. Have a first-ever unilateral stroke diagnosed by neuroimaging (such as computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, Doppler, Electrocardiogram, etc.); 3. Experience upper limb motor impairment due to stroke, with Brunnstrom stage (upper limb) > 2 and < 6; 4. Able to execute at least 10 degrees of active range of motion in the shoulder and elbow against gravity; 5. Will attend or continue attending stroke rehabilitation therapy in the hospital in the following 1 week at the time of enrollment; 6. Be able to maintain autonomous upright seating for at least 45 minutes; 7. Be able to understand written and spoken Chinese; 8. Have normal or corrected to normal visual acuity; 9. Have normal auditory ability.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Have injuries or other health conditions that affect the mobility in the upper body; 2. Presence of unilateral spatial neglect; 3. Are medically unstable (uncontrolled hypertension); 4. Have a history of seizures or epilepsy; 5. Have mood instability; 6. Are participating in investigational drug studies.
