Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Reach the diagnostic criteria of syphilis; 2. Without treatment or regular treatment of syphilis; 3. Male or female; 4. Aged 18 to 70 years; 5. Willing to cooperate with the researcher; 6. Willing to sign informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Antibiotics were used within 2 weeks; 2. Use antibacterial mouthwash within one week; 3. Fail to collect saliva sample; 4. Considered unsuitable by the researchers.
