18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Aged >= 18 years; 2.Undergoing elective gastric, esophageal or colorectal cancer surgery as the primary treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Unable to be measured for muscle strength due to physical deformity; 2. Have severe cardiopulmonary complications; 3. Have current psychiatric illness; 4. Receiving palliative surgery; 5. Have experienced more than 5% weight loss in the previous 6 months or 2%–5% weight loss with either a BMI of <20 kg/m2 or reduced muscle mass; 6. Receiving tube feeding currently; 7. Received preoperative radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy; 8. Unavailable for follow-up.
