Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18 to 80 years, and the rectal cancer was diagnosed by colonoscopy. The general data of the patients (including age, sex, body mass index, tumor location, pathological classification, degree of differentiation, and clinical stage) were collected; 2. The patient received preoperative high-resolution pelvic MRI examination, and the clinical staging was T3-4N0 or any T, N1-2; 3. The patient and his family agree to receive NAT treatment; 4. Patients agreed to be included in the study and signed the informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Distant metastases (lung, liver, pelvic cavity, etc.) were detected by CT preoperatively or no radical resection was assessed; 2. Patients who need NAT after multi-disciplinary Treatment (MDT) before surgery, but who refuse NAT, except those who require surgery; 3. Patients with serious organ dysfunction (such as liver and kidney dysfunction, heart failure, respiratory failure, etc.)or patients with systemic diseases (such as severe rheumatic immune disease or blood system disease, etc.); 4. Patients who have undergone complex abdominal surgery or have been assessed for severe abdominal adhesions; 5. Patients with severe abdominal infection, or other complicated cases affecting the evaluation of rectal cancer observation.
