Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. For the diagnosis of patients with confirmed infection or possible infection, SOFA>=2 points, systolic blood pressure =22 times /min, which meets the above two or more; 2. Acute or progressive dyspnea occurring within 1 week with a clear cause; 3. Plain chest radiographs or chest CT showed bilateral lung infiltrating shadow, which could not be completely explained by pleural effusion, pulmonary lobe/whole atelectasis and nodules; 4. Pulmonary edema cannot be completely explained by heart failure and fluid overload. If there are no clinical risk factors, objective examination (e.g. echocardiography) is needed to rule out hydrostatic edema; 5. Hypoxemia, the oxygen index (PaO2/ FiO2) =5cmH2O.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. It does not meet the diagnostic criteria for sepsis and ARDS at the same time; 2. Patients who were not first diagnosed in our hospital; 3. Patients with craniocerebral injury and intracranial infection; 4. Use of statins, glucocorticoids, and activated protein C (these drugs may affect the expression of TJ-related proteins).
