Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. PaCO2 (partial pressure of carbon dioxide) >=50mmHg, Ph lower than 7.35; 2. Pa02/FiO2 (oxygenation index) <=150mmHg; 3. The patient suffered multiple injuries and received general anesthesia extubation; 4. Symptoms such as rapid pulse rate, complexion, increased blood pressure, and poor breathing; 5. Examination of lung function and chest X-ray showed respiratory failure; 6. All patients are aware of this study and sign a consent form to signify voluntary participation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Head trauma has not healed completely; 2. Patients with hemodynamic obstacles; 3. Upper respiratory tract obstruction or nasal cavity disease; 4. Sudden respiratory arrest; 5. Have a history of lobectomy and lung tumor surgery; 6. Patients who withdrew or died in the middle of the journey; 7. With acute coronary syndrome or acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema; 8. Unplanned extubation; 9. Respiratory failure caused by other reasons, etc.
