Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing thoracoscopic surger; 2. Aged 31 to 79 years; 3. Body mass index (BMI) <30 kg/m2; 4. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I/II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Expected difficult endotracheal intubation; 2. History of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; 3. Pleural and/or interstitial disease; 4. History of thoracic radiotherapy; 5. Forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) < 50% predictive value.
