Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: CAI group: 1.Aged from 16 to 40 years old; 2.More than one time of unilateral ankle varus sprain, without improvement after conservative treatment for half a year or more; 3.The first sprain occurred more than one year before the study, and protective weight-bearing, fixation and / or movement restriction were required for more than 24 hours after the first sprain; 4.Self-reported at least one time of recurrent sprain of the injured ankle and / or sensation 3 to 6 months before the study Unstable, and / or feel "soft", and / or feel pain; 5.CAIT score = 11 ; 7.There is no knee or hip injury affecting function at present; 8.Self report aerobic exercise for at least 90 minutes per week. Coper group: 1.Aged from 16 to 40 years old; 2.More than 1 time of unilateral ankle varus sprain; 3.The first sprain occurred more than 1 year before participating in the study, requiring protective weight-bearing, fixation and / or movement restriction for more than 24 hours after the first sprain; 4.No ankle pain, "softening", and / or repeated sprain, and / or "feeling instability" in the past year; 5.CAIT score >= 28 points; 6.IdFAI score <= 10 points 7.There is no knee or hip injury affecting the function at present; 8.Self report aerobic exercise for at least 90 minutes per week. Normal group: 1.No history of ankle injury; 2.Gender, height (± 10 cm), weight (± 15 kg), age (16-40 years old) matched with one participant with ankle instability; 3.Self reported aerobic exercise at least 90 minutes per week; 4.No knee or hip injury affecting function at present.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Acute ankle sprain; 2.Previous knee, leg or ankle fracture or operation history; 3.Traumatic ankle arthritis; 4.Foot and ankle deformity or ankle osteochondral injury; 5.Medial malleolus deltoid ligament or lower tibiofibular ligament complex injury; 6.Lower limb neuromuscular injury; 7.Any known visual defect except myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism; 8.Known vestibular dysfunction or any known somatosensory deficit (except CAI group); 9.Aerobic exercise <= 90 min per week and received other intervention clinical trials within 3 months.
