Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age >=65 years; 2.Patients hospitalized due to pulmonary infection (meeting the diagnostic criteria for community-acquired pneumonia and nosocomial pneumonia); 3.Pulse oxygen saturation <=94% when breathing air, or 250 mmHg<=PaO2/FiO2<=400mmHg under oxygen inhalation condition; 4.Informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with hemodynamic instability; 2.The initial respiratory support treatment was non-invasive positive pressure ventilation or invasive mechanical ventilation; 3.Glasgow score (GCS) <=13; 4.The anatomical structure of the upper airway was abnormal and the transnasal catheter could not be worn; 5.Patients who received HFNC as palliative treatment for end-stage diseases such as tumors.
