Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Newborns with a gestational age of less than 34 weeks with high-risk factors for NEC (abdominal distension, vomiting, diarrhea, elevated infection indicators, etc.) admitted to the Neonatal Diagnosis and Treatment Center of Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children who die during hospitalization due to non-NEC; 2. Children with congenital gastrointestinal malformations (such as congenital intestinal atresia, megacolon, intestinal malrotation, etc.); 3. Children who give up treatment during hospitalization ; 4. Children who have not completed the determination of gut microbiota and SCFAs; 5. Children who do not want to participate in this study.
