Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.1 Aged 65 to 80 years; 1.2 American Anesthesiologists' Classification (ASA) I or II; 1.3 Elective major noncardiac surgery under general anesthesia with tracheal intubation; 1.4 Body mass index (BMI) 18-30kg/m2; 1.5 Able to provide written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 2.1 Hypersensitivity to propofol or soybeans or history of severe allergies; 2.2 Severe bradycardia (heart rate < 50 beats/min); 2.3 Severe cardiovascular, pulmonary, liver, or renal diseases; 2.4 Neurocognitive or psychiatric disorders; 2.5 Long-term use of opioids, sedatives, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; 2.6 Anticipated difficult intubation.
