Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged >=18 years old; (2) Meet the diagnostic criteria for sepsis. We use "2016 Save Sepsis Campaign: International Management Guidelines for Sepsis and Septic Shock": Infection + SOFA score >=2 points as a reference for the diagnostic criteria of sepsis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) During lactation or pregnant women; (2) Past basic heart disease history (coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, arrhythmia), acute coronary syndrome, severe heart failure, cardiothoracic surgery, chest compressions, defibrillation, electrical Cardioversion, autoimmune diseases; (3) Echocardiography suggests moderate to severe mitral valve and/or aortic valve disease or regional myocardial wall motion abnormalities (indicating regional ischemia or previous myocardial infarction); (4) Cardiac ultrasonography of poor quality caused by the patient's non-cooperation or lack of operating technology; (5) No blood test, echocardiography, or electrocardiogram was performed during hospitalization; (6) Liver and kidney dysfunction [Child-Pugh grade of liver function is 10 or above; renal function blood creatinine >=186 umol/L or glomerular filtration rate (GFR) < 60 or chronic kidney disease (CKD) grade 3 and above].
