Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The patients were aged from 16 to 40 years old; 2. They had more than one time of unilateral ankle varus sprain, and the symptoms did not improve after conservative treatment for half a year or more; 3. The first sprain occurred more than one year before the study, and protective weight-bearing, fixation and / or movement restriction were required for more than 24 hours after the first sprain; 4. They reported at least one time of recurrent sprain and / or instability of the injured ankle joint 3 to 6 months before the study, 5. CAIT score <= 24 points; 6. No knee or hip injury affecting function; 7. Self report aerobic exercise for at least 90 minutes per week.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Acute ankle sprain; 2. Previous knee, leg or ankle fracture or operation history; 3. Traumatic ankle arthritis; 4. Foot and ankle deformity or ankle osteochondral injury; 5. Medial malleolus deltoid ligament or lower tibiofibular ligament complex injury; 6. Lower limb neuromuscular injury; 7. Knee injury disease (anterior cruciate ligament injury, meniscus tear, posterior cruciate ligament injury) Ligament laceration, articular cartilage injury, patella dislocation, medial collateral ligament injury, lateral collateral ligament injury, intra-articular fracture, patellar tendon tear); 8. Weekly aerobic exercise less than 90min; 9. 3 months after receiving other interventional clinical trials.
