Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The parturients are diagnosed as having pernicious placenta previa and required the who needed central venous catheterization.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The parturients with a history of previous neck surgery, those with a history of head and neck mass or cancer, those with coagulopathy, and those with infection at the puncture point were excluded.
