Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for subjects in the chronic ankle instability group: 1. A history of at least one significant ankle sprain: (1) The first ankle sprain has been at least 12 months since the participation in this study; (2) Inflammatory reactions such as pain, swelling and fever after the first sprain; (3) No physical activity with weight bearing on the injured side for at least one day after the first sprain; (4) The last sprain should be more than 3 months after the study. 2. Has lost control and/or repeated sprains and/or feeling unstable: "Out of control" refers to an uncontrollable and unpredictable overpronation of the forefoot that occurs regularly during the initial contact phase of running and walking but does not result in an acute lateral ligament sprain. There had been at least two "out of control" episodes in the six months prior to the experiment.Repeated sprain refers to "two or more sprain of the same ankle". Sensory instability refers to "the feeling that the ankle joint is unstable during daily life and sports activities and the constant fear that it will be sprained again". Cumberland Ankle Instability Scale (CAIT): Score 97%. Physically active people: do at least 30 minutes of moderate or higher physical activity at least 3 days a week.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. History of lower extremity surgery: history of surgery on either side of the lower extremity (e.g. bone, joint structure, nerve, etc.). 2. History of lower limb fracture: history of fractures requiring recovery of joint force line on either side of both lower limbs. 3. There was no acute musculoskeletal injury (e.g. sprain, fracture) to other joints of the lower extremity that affected joint integrity and function and resulted in the absence of weight-bearing physical activity for at least 1 day in the previous 3 months.
