Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Admission criteria for developmental epileptic encephalopathy group: the following conditions should be met 1. Untreated DEE group (1) Clinically frequent seizures and/or obvious epileptic-like discharges on electroencephalogram. (2) Progressive neuropsychiatric dysfunction or degeneration, such as cognitive, language, sensory, motor and behavioral aspects. (3) even if seizures can be controlled, their encephalopathy can not be completely recovered, and may even continue to worsen with age. (4) Age 0-2 years old. (5) Have not started antiepileptic drug therapy, including oral drugs and injections, and are allowed to have received physical rehabilitation training. 2. Dee group after treatment (1) Clinically frequent seizures and/or obvious epileptic-like discharges on electroencephalogram. (2) Progressive neuropsychiatric dysfunction or degeneration, such as cognitive, language, sensory, motor and behavioral aspects. (3) even if seizures can be controlled, their encephalopathy can not be completely recovered, and may even continue to worsen with age. (4) Age 0-2 years old. (5) Has started to standardize antiepileptic drug treatment for at least 1 year, including oral drugs, injections, allowed to have received physical rehabilitation training. Inclusion criteria for the control group: The following conditions should be met (1) Sex and age matched children. (2) Whether there is a previous history of convulsions or no more than one seizure. (3) Clinical diagnosis of viral encephalitis, and improve the relevant examination and clinical observation to support the prognosis of the diagnosis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for developmental epileptic encephalopathy group 1. Untreated DEE group (1) accompanied by other infections, immune, inflammatory diseases, such as encephalitis, demyelinating diseases, metabolic diseases. (2) Not taking antibiotics in recent 2 weeks, or taking probiotics for a long time. (3) Antiepileptic medication has been initiated, including oral fluids or injections, but not physical rehabilitation training. 2. Dee group after treatment (1) accompanied by other infections, immune, inflammatory diseases, such as encephalitis, demyelinating diseases, metabolic diseases. (2) Not taking antibiotics in recent 2 weeks, or taking probiotics for a long time. (3) No regular antiepileptic medication for at least 1 year, including oral solution or injection. Exclusion criteria for the control group (1) accompanied by chronic infection, immune, inflammatory diseases, such as demyelinating diseases, metabolic diseases. (2) Take antibiotics for nearly 2 weeks, or take probiotics for a long time.
