Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged between 18 and 70 years; 2. without severe cardiovascular and/or respiratory diseases; 3. qualified for diagnosis criteria of GERD: (1) with a chronic GERD history of persistent typical symptoms of heartburn and/or regurgitation (the symptoms occurred at least once a week for at least 6 months; (2) EGD documented of reflux esophagitis of Los LA B or more severe, or positive result of pH and/or pH-impedance; (3) hiatal hernia >=3cm diagnosed by EGD, CT scan or barium meal examination; 4. volunteered to participate.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Large hiatal hernia (> 5 cm according to radiologic criteria or calculation of the hiatal surface area during surgery); 2. achalasia or other primary esophageal motility disorders; 3. malignant tumor; 4. previous esophagogastric surgery; 5. previous inflammatory bowl disease, cirrhosis, diabetes, collagen vascular disease or other autoimmune disease; 6. PPIs, antibiotics or probiotics usage in the last 3 months; 7. pregnancy or breast feeding; 8. coagulation disorders or contradictions for surgery; 9. other severe uncontrolled medical illness.
