18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Subjects with BMI >= 40; 2. Subjects older than 18 years old; 3. Subjects of ASA II-III; 4. Subjects of laparoscopic gastric volume reduction (bypass or sleeve resection); 5. Subjects with operation time longer than 2 hours.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Subjects who did not quit smoking; 2. Subjects with pulmonary bullae; 3. Subjects with a history of lung surgery; 4. Subjects who received invasive mechanical ventilation for more than 30 minutes within 30 days; 5. Pregnant subjects; 6. Subjects with persistent hemodynamic instability or refractory shock; 7. Subjects with severe COPD (family oxygen therapy or noninvasive ventilation, or frequent acute exacerbations requiring systemic glucocorticoids); 8. Subjects with severe heart disease (defined as NYHA class III or IV, acute coronary syndrome or sustained ventricular tachycardia); 9. Subjects with severe pulmonary hypertension (defined as systolic pulmonary artery pressure > 40 mmHg); 10. Subjects with increased intracranial pressure, intracranial injury or tumor or neuromuscular disease.
