18 Years to 75 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) diagnosed with stage I to IV gastrointestinal cancer by pathological examination and were undergoing chemotherapy; (2) between the ages of 18 and 70 years; (3) at high risk for depression, determined by a standard score of >= 50 and =60 on the Karnofsky performance status scale; (5) survival time predicted to be >6 months by two chief oncologists; (6) was aware of his/her condition; (7) could understand, read, and write in Chinese; (8) volunteered to participate in this trial and signed an informed consent document.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Past or present history of mental disorders and cognitive impairment; (2) other serious physical diseases except gastrointestinal tumors; (3) any contraindication of Health Qigong therapy (weak constitution, non-functioning limbs, body dysfunction); (4) been simultaneously treated with radiotherapy or other invasive therapy; (5) recently encountered major setbacks; (6) undergone psychotherapy or taken any psychiatric medication; (7) participated in other clinical trials.
