Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Gastric cancer diagnosed by means of gastroscopy and pathological examination prior to surgery; (2) Patients underwent either laparoscopic operation or open operation. The type of resection included radical total gastrectomy, radical distal gastrectomy or radical proximal gastrectomy; (3) R0 resection and lymph nodes have reached D1+ or D2 dissection; (4) Postoperative complications occurred between the day of the operation to the date of discharge (excluding cases of re-hospitalization after discharge due to postoperative complications ); (5) The patient's clinical pathology, complications and follow-up data were complete in nature, in addition to each operation performed by the same group of surgeons.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Preoperative examination and intraoperative exploration of distant tumor metastasis, which could not be achieved by radical resection; (2) Patients who had received neoadjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy and intraoperative chemotherapy (including intraperitoneal hyperthermic chemotherapy) prior to surgery; (3) Abdominal aortic lymph node dissection (PAND); (4) Pylorus-preserving gastrectomy (PPG); (5) Presence of other simultaneous malignant tumors; (6) Remnant gastric carcinoma; (7) Emergency surgery.
