Perioperative management of elderly patients

Interventions

control group:target blood pressure with SBP<80 mmHg, MAP<65mmHg, or 40% lower than baseline

Treatment group:target blood pressure with blood pressure variability <= 10%

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged >= 65 years; 2. ASA >= Class II; 3. Operation time >= 2 hours Major abdominal gastrointestinal surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe preoperative hypertension (uncontrolled); 2. Creatinine clearance rate <30 ml/min or preoperative dialysis; 3. Acute heart failure; 4. Preoperative sepsis; 5. Preoperative hemodynamic failure (shock).
