Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with psoriasis with Psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) score >= 12, course of disease >= 6 months were considered as the candidates. 2. The healthy controls and psoriasis patients have not been treated by any drug in at least four weeks. 3. All healthy controls have no any sign of metabolic syndrome. 4. All the inclusions have not taken any pickled food including yogurt and salted vegetables for at least one week. 5. All the participants have not used any skin moistures or sprays for at least one week.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who meet any of the followings are excluded. 1. Allergy to oxymatrine. 2. Theres adverse side effect like presence of severe liver and/or kidney damage, mental illness, hematopoietic dysfunction, or other severe organ dysfunctions. 3. Patients who received any treatment with immunosuppressants, high-dose glucocorticoids or retinoid in the past 8 weeks. 4. Patients who are in pregnancy or lactation.
