Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. People who are unwillingness or inability to consent; 2. Patients with clinical or pathologic evidence of other kidney diseases (e.g., systemic diseases, such as diabetic nephropathy, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, Alport Syndrome, amyloidosis, and mono-clonal gammopathy), prior solid organ transplantation; 3. Active malignancy or life expectancy < 6 months; 4. Individuals who did not have a creatinine measurement within 60 days of their index date and renal transplant biopsies were excluded; 5. Individuals actively treated with dialysis or having any history of treatment with hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, or renal transplant were also excluded; 6. Individuals had incident ESRD before the index date were also excluded; 7. Women and girls who are pregnant or trying to become pregnant or are unwilling to practice birth control; 8. Women and girls who are breastfeeding (possible immune suppression in infants as well as the unknown effects on growth or association with carcinogenesis.
