Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Aged 14-60 years; 2.Diagnosis of focal onset epilepsy, seizures form focal origins of aware or impaired awareness, either with or without progress for bilateral tonic-clonic seizure, including automatisms, hyperkinetic, autonomic, behavior arrest, cognitive, emotional, sensory and the focal onset of atonic, clonic, epileptic spasms, myoclonic, tonic; 3.History of epilepsy >= 2 years, regular medication >= 1 years; 4.Seizure frequency >= 1 per week recently 3 months, either with or without secondary generalization; 5.Daily dose of the concomitant antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) were unchanged for the baseline period(4 weeks) and throughout the whole study duration (31 weeks). If there is no obviously clinical need, do not change the drug regimen, and do not increase the traditional Chinese medicine treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Epilepsy nidus cannot be clearly located or the epilepsy niduses are two or more; 2.Previous or existing psychogenic seizures; 3.Epileptic status >= 1 time occurred within 6 months before screening; 4.Evidence of progressive brain disorders or systemic diseases; 5.Alcohol abuse or drug addiction, pregnancy, skull defects, or implantation of other electrical medical devices.
