Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who were scheduled for elective surgery requiring tracheal intubation under general anaesthesia were enrolled into this study; 2. American Society of Anesthesiologists grade I and II.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A potentially life-threatening circulatory and respiratory disease that is not properly controlled.
