Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Aged 65 years and older; 2) no Tai Chi practice experience; 3) ability to live independently.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Previous Tai chi exercise experience (subjects regularly practiced Tai Chi for at least three months; 2) Diseases of the respiratory system, cardiovascular disease, and fracture history that restricted subjects from participating in low- and moderate-intensity exercise.
