Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were as follows: 65 years or older, diagnosed with unilateral or bilateral KOA according to the clinical criteria of the American College of Rheumatology, and a radiographic grade of >= 1 by the Kellgren/Lawrence scale.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria included the following: KOA inflammatory acute phase; experienced any neurological or neuromuscular disorder affecting either of the knee other than the KOA; suffering from KOA unable to walk or walking distance =2 grade); Parkinson; cardiovascular disease; and cognitive dysfunction.
