Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Lower back is defined as posterior part of the trunk, between the lowest rib and buttocks. Low back pain subject inclusion criteria are: male and female aged between 18 – 40 years old with BMI of 19 – 22; Pain or discomfort in the lower back should be intermittent for 3 or more months in duration, with or without referred leg pain, and can relieved by rest or posture change; VAS score should be 2 – 5, RMDQ score 5 – 15, and ODI score 10 – 30.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Under any medication that may influence pain or neuromuscular perception on testing day; Involvement in any legal or insurance claims related to low back pain; Constant pain over past 3 months, not relieved by rest or posture change; Indication or diagnosis of cancer, bone fracture and infection; Exercise contraindication as indicated in Par-Q and IPAC questionnaire screening; Past spine surgery, artificial joint implant, or use of walking aid; Pregnancy within 1 year; More than 3 sessions/week, 1 hour/session structured aerobic or anaerobic exercise.
