Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) patients more than 18 years old; (2) patients undergoing endoscopy for gastric varices or esophageal varices.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Mental illness; 2. Suspected or proven history of alcohol and drug abuse; 3. Pregnant or nursing women.
