Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) aged 18–80 years, both sexes; (2) primary irreducible inguinal hernia; (3) single side affected; (4) laparoscopic surgery; and (5) polypropylene material used.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) reduction of hernial contents achievable by direct traction; and (2) laparoscopic surgery converted intraoperatively to open surgery.
