Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Undergo primary joint replacement at the department of orthopaedic surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients having one or more of the following conditions were excluded: 2. Prior open knee surgery; 3. Poorly controlled diabetes mellitus, which was defned as preoperative fasting blood sugar level of 200 mg/dL; 4. History of autoimmune diseases or active cancer; 5. History of smoking within the past 12 months; 6. History of peripheral vascular disorder, such as atherosclerosis, Buerger's disease, or chronic venous insufciency; obese status, which was defned as body mass index (BMI) 35 kg/m2; 7. History of radiation at or around the knee. 8. Patients were also excluded if they had taken corticosteroid within 30 days before surgery, except for topical and inhaled corticosteroid, and if they were currently taking anticoagulant, except low-dose aspirin.
