Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Male and female patients aged 13-25 years; 2. Based on screening for SCID-5,DSM-5 was diagnosed as major depressive disorder or bipolar disorder; 3. Understand the content of the study, be willing to participate in the study, and sign the written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Other mental disorders that meet DSM-5 diagnostic criteria include organic mental disorders, alcohol dependence, drug dependence/abuse, and schizophrenia 2. Have active suicidal ideation or plan to commit suicide, and/or have committed suicide in the last six months; 3. Have severe psychotic symptoms; 4. Are taking supplements rich in omega-3 PUFAs or taking at least 1 gram of omega-3 PUFAs daily; 5. Are taking more than 400IU of vitamin E supplements; 6. Clinically significant, unstable physical diseases; 7. Smoking more than 10 cigarettes a day; 8. The pregnancy test is positive or is breastfeeding or planned to become pregnant during the course of the study.
